As part of Montreal en Lumière, Menu Extra in collaboration with Oenopole welcomes the great winemaker Tom Lubbe from Domaine Matassa for a series of gastronomic dinners.

From February 21 to 24, 2024, winemaker Tom Lubbe of Domaine Matassa will visit our Mile-End kitchen to share his vibrant wines for four unique evenings as part of Montréal en Lumière in collaboration with Oenopole. Come sit down for four memorable evenings where we will prepare a tasting menu specially designed to be accompanied by the wines of the legendary vineyard.


Originally from New Zealand, Tom Lubbe did several internships in France and South Africa before settling on the border of France, in Calce, in Roussillon. While most of his neighbors work in a conventional way, focusing on wines that stain, Tom decides to go in the opposite direction. A breath of fresh air in a desert of creativity! The wines of the Matassa estate are unique, with their incisive acidity and their ability to bring to life the multiple terroirs of Roussillon. In addition, the distinctions between each vintage are marked, feeding us with ideas to create a tasty gastronomic menu.


Year after year, the Menu Extra brigade is honoured and delighted to participate in the great celebration of gastronomy that is Montréal en Lumière. Seeing all these internationally renowned chefs and winemakers land in the city is an ultimate source of inspiration for our chef Francis, who wants to demonstrate the richness of local products prepared with the care and technique they deserve. Menu Extra's approach - marked by a respect for culinary traditions, a constant search for frank flavours and warm and sensitive service - reaches its full potential during Montréal en Lumière, a great communion of gastronomy lovers. Being able to combine our love of the arts of the table with the seductive wines of Domaine Matassa is, in our opinion, a perfect match!

Dinner will start at 7:00 p.m.; we are waiting for you at the Menu Extra premises, at 5206 Saint-Laurent, Montreal, QC H2T 1S1.

We can accommodate any dietary restrictions, provided that we inform you in advance.

$350 per person, food and wine included.
