Ruhlmann-Dirringer, VDP Alsace, Breitstein, 2020

At the heart of Dambach-la-Ville are the Ruhlmann and Dirringer families. Joining forces, they harvest Riesling, Muscat, Pinot Blanc, Gewurztraminer, and more from 15 hectares. I love this Pinot Noir cuvée planted in granite and clay soils; the wine has the primary aromas of the grape variety, but we can quickly sense the tertiary side, like fresh earth and soy.
