Roagna, Langhe Rosso, 2016

The Roagna family quickly rose to the forefront of Barbaresco, Barolo's sister appellation. In my opinion, this misty region is home to Italy's finest wines, perfectly blending elegance and ruggedness. With his traditional style, Luca Roagna offers us this pure Nebbiolo cuvée, opening with notes of faded roses and flowers, ready to drink now, but able to linger over time.

Fabio Gea, Barbaresco, Bricco di Neive, 2017

Fabio Gea, a geologist by training, settled in this magnificent region with a love of the land and its incomparable soils. This research led him to work Nebbiolo in a very plot-by-plot manner, creating approximately 20 vintages on 2 hectares. This wine is fine and persistent, with notes of fresh cherries and summer truffle, filled with present and melted tannins.

Renato Buganza, Langhe, Gerbole, 2021

In the Piedmont region, the Buganza family is established on about thirty hectares, including ten hectares of vineyards, four hectares of hazelnut trees, five hectares of walnuts, and the rest of forest. The Gerbole cuvée is like a budget-friendly Barolo, a wine with fine but powerful tannins and aromas of wildflowers and dried roses.
